ABOUT ME
Randy McCommons (MFT #45485, RDT/BCT) lives in Oregon with his wife and dogs, as the kids have flown the coop. He has been a Psychotherapist and Registered Drama Therapist since 1985, practicing in numerous settings from psychiatric hospitals to juvenile halls, as well as in his private practice.
He currently is an Adjunct Professor at California Institute for Integral Studies in San Francisco and also at Antioch University in Seattle. He is a Board-Certified Trainer of Drama Therapy and is the Director of the Institute for Developmental Transformations in Hong Kong, and the past director in Taipei Taiwan, and Shenzhen China. He is the past director of the Drama Rocks! theater program for children in Piedmont, California which he sadly closed down in 2012 after 30 years.
Randy has been actively engaged in various groups including the North American Association for Drama Therapy, Little League Baseball, Orff Schulwerk Music, and the Boy Scouts (helping them change their policy toward gay membership).
His loves include an ongoing attempt to play guitar like Eric Clapton and piano like Bill Evans, cosmology and theoretical physics, carving down snowy mountains on pointy little sticks, wilderness backpacking, classic rock, and the theater.
